THE “MOCK-UP“
When patients see how great a cosmetic treatment plan will make them look, they often accept the treatment plan. The “Mock-Up” is a concept that goes beyond digital alteration of patient photos. It allows them to look in the mirror, smile, and see the full potential for their look. This concept can be applied in two ways:
1. Mock-Up direct Paste:
A paste-like composite is freely applied and modeled directly in the patient‘s mouth.
2. Mock-Up direct Flow:
First, a matrix is made from the wax-up using Matrix flow clear. Next, Mock-Up direct flow is poured into the rim which is then repositioned in the patient‘s mouth to polymerize. The “Mock-Up” concept gives you the power to demonstrate the cosmetic benefits of treatment to patients, and it’s simple to do. You’ll find the process quickly becoming second nature, and your case acceptance rate steadily increasing.
The idea behind this method is that the situation, and thus the definite restoration, can be determined together with the patient by means of the mock-up and the following temporaries. The changes made at the inserted restoration during these steps are easy, quick and recurrent processes.
Thus, shape and function can be determined at once. When transferring the situation with silicone walls, all steps and situations can be performed within no time and are always reproducible.
anaxGUM
anaxgum is a gingiva-colored composite for the esthetic reconstruction of the gingiva. anaxgum was developed in cooperation with Dr. Christian Coachman to match the different hues of the natural gingiva as accurately as possible. It can be applied by the dental technician at the dental lab or directly in the patient‘s mouth by the dentist. anaxgum is the simple way back to a natural appearance of a restoration’s “pink esthetics“.“pink esthetics“ are as important as recreation of natural looking tooth structure (“white esthetics”) in the creation of a perfect dental restoration. The uses of anaxgum include the customized reproduction of the patient‘s gingiva in implant-borne superstructures, in crowns and bridges and even characterization of removable full and partial dentures. Clinicians can create beautiful gingival restorations directly in the patient‘s mouth. The uniquely lifelike colors and superior handling of anaxgum empower dentists and technicians to create gingival restorations with such a natural look, they’ll wonder how they ever managed without it.
